The Rare Book Collection Presents the Hinman Collator

Professor David Vander Meulen of the University of Virginia will give an interactive lecture, accompanied by a not-under-glass display of items from the Rare Book Collection, on the history and use of the Hinman Collator. The Hinman Collator is an optical collation machine invented by Charlton Hinman in the 1940s to examine copies of Shakespeare's First Folio.
