Making as a transformative act: How the act of making makes us better people

The act of making is about a lot of things. It’s about learning, it’s about dreaming up amazing new things, it’s about creativity and giving ideas a tangible form. The external benefits of making are clear, but what about the internal benefits, what we learn and how we grow from the act of making? It can be a catalyst to growth, transformation and finding your voice, which is sometimes hard to hear and locate in a world that is so noisy. Come learn about what making can do for you!

Light refreshments will be served.

Since 2003, Betsy Greer has been writing and speaking about how we can use craft and creativity for the greater good. Through both her own experience and through the stories of others, she’s seen how our creative work can be used to help transform ourselves as well as our world. From Vancouver to the UK and beyond, she’s helped students, artists and crafters learn more about how they can be agents of change with their own hands.
