Public Health Practicum Workshop: Finding Health Data & Statistics
This session for public health practicum students will introduce skills and resources for locating health data and statistics. We will cover the major types of health data, common public health statistics and measures, and many sources where students can find reliable data and statistics, including government and non-profit agencies, research databases, and data repositories. This session will also explore techniques for modifying search strategies to locate relevant data resources. By the end of the session, students will have a stronger foundation for finding health data and statistics in coursework, research, and public health practice.
