Event Information
Python Crash Courses: Intro to Data
This workshop is being offered remotely via Zoom only. Registrants will receive a Zoom link; those on the waitlist will not receive a Zoom link unless they are bumped up to a registered spot. The day after the workshop, registrants and those on the waitlist will receive a link to the workshop recording.
This workshop builds on the "Python Crash Course: Introduction to Python" foundation to introduce fundamental tools for working with tabular data in Python. We'll cover Jupyter Notebooks and Markdown, Pandas, data visualization packages, and more!
This course assumes a general familiarity with object types, base Python data structures, file paths, and flow control (if statements & for-loops), as covered in "Python Crash Course: Basics". Those interested in attending Introduction to Python and Intro to Data should register for both.
This workshop is offered by University Libraries and will be led by librarians Phil McDaniel, Lorin Bruckner, Michele Hayslett, and Matt Jansen, along with Mark Reed from ITS Research Computing.
