Maximizing Your Research Impact

During this workshop, participants will be provided useful tips and tools for optimizing the reach of their work. Attendees will gain a series of strategic skills to help ensure their published research reaches a wide audience and its research impact can be tracked.

Topics covered will include:

  • Optimizing abstract writing for database discoverability
  • Writing a plain language summary of a study
  • Choosing the best journal
  • Understanding open access publishing and author rights

This workshop is offered by the University Libraries Health Sciences Library and led by Emma Barrett-Catton
