Intro to Visible Mending

In this introductory workshop, we will cover basic hand stitching and learn how to mend a hole using the sashiko inspired technique. We will practice this technique either on the clothing brought or on fabric provided by the Library Makerspace. Bring any sturdy fabric garment in need of mending (ex. denim, button-up shirts, flannel) and any questions you have. No experience needed! (Note: this workshop does not cover the technique of darning, which is used to repair knit garments.)

Held in the Library MakerSpace across from the service desk in the Undergraduate Library. Register to reserve a spot!
