More and more funders are requiring data management plans as part of grant funding applications. Learning the basics now will help you enormously as you begin your graduate work and research career.

After this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe what data management is and why it’s important, including relevant funding agency policies for managing/sharing research data.

• List some strategies and tools for managing data, both for personal and research purposes.

• Employ those strategies and tools to improve their data management practices.

All disciplines welcome.

This event is offered by University Libraries and will be led by librarians Michele Hayslett and Barrie Hayes. It is in partnership with the Graduate School.
