Research publications can reveal much about the impact of individual researchers, labs, and entire departments. Using biblioshiny, a web interface for the R library bibliometrix, we can use a collection of article citations to show how papers are used by other researchers, learn what subjects scopes and emerging trends exist in a discipline, and visualize network connections among researchers. The good thing about using biblioshiny is that an advanced under standing of R programming is not necessary! The workshop will cover:

1. Installing R, bibliometrix, and biblioshiny
2. Performing a search in an appropriate database to analyze
3. Looking at some of the specific functions of biblioshiny
