Maximizing Your Research Impact (Graduate School Event)

During this workshop, participants will be provided useful tips and tools for optimizing the reach of their work. Attendees will gain a series of strategic skills to help ensure their published research reaches a wide audience and its research impact can be tracked.

Topics covered will include:

  • Research impact measurement options
  • Optimizing abstract writing for database discoverability
  • Writing a plain language summary of a study
  • Benefits of ORCID and how to set up an ORCID
  • Understanding open access publishing and author rights

Graduate students and post-docs from all disciplines are welcome.

This workshop is offered by the UNC Health Sciences Library through the Graduate School and led by Emma Barrett-Catton. It is part of the For Researchers and Advancing Clinical Research Skills workshop tracks.
