Join us to celebrate the library’s new Video Game Collection with a friendly Mario Kart World tournament! This event is open to all skill levels, whether you’re a gaming pro or you’ve never held a controller before. Race against your competition for the chance to win exclusive library swag.

In between races, use Perler (fuse) beads to recreate your favorite pixel art! All materials will be provided, along with video game-inspired patterns and supplies to turn your finished creation into a keychain.

The Video Game Collection is the Undergraduate Library’s newest collection, which will be available for checkout from the UL once it re-opens in Spring 2027. In the meantime, all of our games can be checked out from Davis Library.

No registration is required, but we recommend arriving early if you want to sign up for the tournament. If you have any questions, please reach out to Zuzelle Ramos at zramos@unc.edu
