Event Information

***DATE/TIME CHANGED TO OCTOBER 24, 3:30-5 PM!*** Cataloging for the eGranary

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO OCTOBER 24, 3:30-5 PM

The eGranary is an offline digital library that contains educational information resources – sometimes entire websites – delivered in a self-contained, Wi-Fi enabled server that brings the resources of the Web to people in areas lacking the infrastructure for broadband internet, or places such as prison systems where there is deliberately restricted information access.

WiderNet Digital Librarian Laura Ashcraft will offer a demonstration and hands-on experience that explores the unique cataloging and metadata needs of the eGranary project.

This event will take place in the WiderNet@UNC Offices, in Manning Hall, Room 30.

Space is limited for this event. Library staff, SILS students, faculty members or others interested in this process should sign up for this unique presentation. Participants should plan to bring a laptop if possible.

This is an Open Access Week event. Learn more.
