Introduction to Census Concepts
Do you know that variables like income and educational attainment are no longer part of the decennial census? Do you understand the differences between the decennial long form methodology and that of the American Community Survey (ACS)? If your answer to these questions is no, this class is for you! We will compare and contrast content and methodology of the decennial census long form and the ACS, and review Census terminology and geographies. (This class or equivalent knowledge is required for the Basics of Pulling Census Data class.) No previous knowledge of the Census is necessary.
There are no desktops in our presentation space. Attendees may want to bring a laptop.
