Python II

Python is widely used by researchers in many disciplines, and can be used to accomplish or automate many tasks outside academia.  This is the second workshop in a series designed to help you learn the basics of the Python programming language.

This is a hands-on workshop. Attendees must bring a laptop with Python installed to participate.  We will be using Python 3 with the Anaconda distribution and its included Spyder Integrated Development Environment (IDE).  Anaconda is available here:https://www.anaconda.com/download/.  Python 2 is very similar and will be usable with slight modifications.

If you do not have Python installed on your computer, arrive 15 minutes early and the instructors will demonstrate how to install it on your computer.
