North Carolina Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green

Poet, teacher, arts advocate and North Carolina Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green will read from and discuss her work. Green is the first African American and the third woman to serve as the state’s ambassador for poetry and the spoken word. This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition “Enriching Voices: African American Contributions to North Carolina Literature,” on view in the North Carolina Collection Gallery at Wilson Library, October 10, 2019 - January 31, 2020.
