This 1926 silent thriller was made with an all-black cast for black audiences. Following the screening, Carolina professor Charlene Regester will discuss the film’s production and reception, and its connection to the Wilson Library exhibition “On the Move: Stories of African American Mobility.” An opportunity to tour the exhibition will follow the program.
